This election year, there is one at-large city council race (which all Greenville residents can vote on), and one district race, which District 2 residents can vote on.
Important Voting Dates
Tuesday, October 21, 2025 – Primary for State House 21 and State Senate 12
Tuesday, November 4, 2025 – Municipal and Public Service District Elections
Tuesday, November 4, 2025 – (Run-Off if needed) for Primary State House 21 and State Senate 12
Tuesday, December 23, 2025 – General for State House 21 and State Senate 12
**There is not general election for State House 21 and State Senate 21 - this race will be decided in the Republican Primary**
How to vote?
Upstate voters can vote early in person, by mail, or by dropping off their ballot.
In-person and Early Voting
Early Voting: McAlister Square 225 S. Pleasantburg Dr. Greenville, SC 29607 (Back Entrance)

Early voting for General Election Day: October 20-31, M-F, (8:30-5:00pm)
Early Voting Period for the Senate 12 and House 21 Primary OCTOBER 6-17 (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday)
At The Polls
You can cast your vote in person at McCallister Square during the early voting period. Your designated polling location and hours of operation can be found here. Be sure to bring your government-issued ID (like a South Carolina Driver's License, a student ID, or a U.S. military ID). If you don't have an accepted form of identification, you'll need to sign a statement to cast your vote.
Requesting an absentee ballot (voting by mail):
If a voter is wishing to apply for an ABSENTEE BALLOT by mail, they may call the Greenville County Voter Registration & Election Office, Absentee Department at 864-467-7264. Requests for applications can be made now. The last day for the office to receive an absentee application is by 5:00 pm Friday, October 24th.

WHAT TO BRING:
Be sure to bring your government-issued ID (like a South Carolina Driver's License, student ID, U.S. military ID, or SC Concealed Weapons permit). If you don't have an accepted form of identification, you need to get one before Election Day, with your correct home address.
