Steve Evered

Steve Evered is running as the write-in candidate for the Senate District 12 Seat. A former Vice President of Government Affairs issues for Michelin, he has lived in Greenville for over 20 years. Since retiring in 2015, Steve has focused on public service, volunteering at the Project Host soup kitchen and adovcating for campaign finance laws to reduce the influence of money in politics.

Abortion: Will defend reproductive freedom, protect medical privacy, and keep government out of deeply personal choices.
Education: Supports investing in public education and improving teacher pay so students can thrive in a competitive economy.
Healthcare: Supports protecting patients with pre-existing conditions and strengthening rural health systems.
Lee Bright

Bright is a former South Carolina State Senator. He is the Republican nominee for the Senate District 12 Seat after winning the Republican primary in November 2025. Lee Bright worked for many years in trucking brokerage sales before founding his own company, On Time, LLC, which employed more than 100 people before closing following the 2008 recession. He later founded The Bright Agency, an independent insurance firm. Bright lives in Spartanburg County.

Abortion: Introduced legislation aimed at ending nearly all abortions in South Carolina without exceptions for rape or incest.
Marriage: Believes that marriage is reserved for one man and one woman and is against gay marriage.
Confederate Flag: Voted against removing the Confederate flag from the South Carolina State House grounds.
Healthcare: Sponsored a bill to criminalize implementation of the Affordable Care Act, which was later deemed unenforceable.

Dexter Reaves

Dexter Reaves is running as the write-in candidate for the House District 21 seat. His career in law enforcement and other related fields spans over 31 years. He is the Pleasant Valley ED supporting community resources and childcare assistance. His wife works for the Spartanburg School District and they have two children together.

Infrastructure: Safe schools, reliable roads, and public safety have been the foundation of Reaves' career and he wants to carry that same work to the statehouse.

Dianne Mitchell

Dianne Mitchell has led community, faith, and youth programs in Greenville, including running a preschool music program and teaching Sunday School.
She has served as president of the Greenville Republican Women’s Club and other local civic organizations. Mitchell was born and raised in Greenville and graduated from Wade Hampton High School and Furman University. She is married and has adult children. -
Education: Testified in support of the Save Women’s Sports bill.
